Community Life of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Wichita
"Daughters of the Good Jesus, let us love one another in the heart of our Mother." - Fr. Joaquin Masmitjá
Fr. Masmitjá always sought to keep the Sisters united in the Heart of Mary and he saw that fraternal charity was the way in which this could be accomplished, thus being united in the Heart of Christ (cf. IHM Constitutions, #54). "For God's love incarnates itself in each member of the community so that the Sisters' love for God may overflow in friendship and concern for one another" (#54). |
| "To foster the bond of unity in the
Spirit, the Sisters help one another by
their prayer, loving concern, forbearance,
encouragement and sisterly help" (#55). |
"Nourished by the Gospel and the sacred liturgy, especially the Eucharist, the community, a religious family gathered together in Christ by that charity which is poured forth into their hearts by the Holy Spirit, should reverence and support one another in their constant striving for holiness" (#53). |
